Under the CC Kawasaki strategy, the city is engaged in promoting photovoltaic (PV) power generation. In fiscal 2009, Kawasaki City is promoting large-scale solar power generation, expanding the scope of subsidies for installing residential PV power systems, and implementing a model project to introduce PV power systems. The city is also carrying out a grant project to promote the use of electric vehicles, and is using biodiesel fuel for city-operated buses on a trial basis. |
